  Gloria Wright is the founder/CEO of VISIONS OF WELLNESS LLC an addiction consultant and community health advocacy service. Witnessing the devastations of addiction in underserved communities, Gloria is committed to empowering, educating and advocating for Women with substance use disorders. Gloria has a background in nursing and has worked in health care for over 20 years as a Certified Alcohol & Drug Counselor. She held past positions at Stroger Cook County Hospital in the capacity of clinician, supervisor, trainer and program development. Ms. Wright also co-developed and implemented the Community Peer Mentor Program at Stroger that partnered community members in addiction recovery with primary care physicians, to support doctors in identifying and counseling patients with substance use problems. Ms. Wright has over 30 years’ experience as a certified alcohol and drug addiction counselor working with multiple diagnosed substance use disorders.
